Common use of UNION COMMUNICATIONS AND VOTING Clause in Contracts

UNION COMMUNICATIONS AND VOTING. (a) The University will endeavour to provide free bulletin board facilities at each of its premises for the exclusive use of the Union. Such bulletin boards shall be used to post Union communications. (b) The University agrees that the Union shall have the right to use the University’s electronic mail/bulletin board system(s) to communicate with the employees in the bargaining unit. Employees shall have the right to use the University’s electronic mail/bulletin board system(s) to communicate with the Union. Both the Union and the employees shall at all times adhere to the University’s policies regarding electronic mail/bulletin board system usage. Failure to do so will cause this provision to come to an end. The University shall provide the Union and each employee in the bargaining unit with a copy of said policies and any updates thereto. (c) It is agreed that the Union shall have the right to place ballot boxes in the workplaces of the University for the purposes of conducting Union elections, referenda, polling or collective agreement votes.
