Union Rates. Every contract made by the City for construction, remodelling, repair or demolition of any City works shall be subject to the condition that all workmen, mechanics, artisans and labourers in the employ of the contractor, sub-contractor or other person doing or contracting to do the whole or any part of such work shall, during the continuance of the work, be paid at least such wages and remuneration as are generally accepted as union rates for that particular occupation in Prince Rupert.
