Common use of Union Release Time Clause in Contracts

Union Release Time. The appointing authority may grant to elected officers or appointed representatives of the Union time off for employee organization representation activities. Release time under this Article shall be allowed for no more than one (1) employee in a department or Public Works Bureau, with a total of ten (10) employees for all bargaining units (4, 8, 14, 15, 17, 18 & 36).
