Common use of Union representations to the Board Clause in Contracts

Union representations to the Board. Local 4948 may appear at any time upon reasonable notice, before a meeting of the Board, for the purpose of making representations in respect to any of the matters included in or arising out of this Agreement. In any case where Local 4948 intends to appear before the Board, the Union will inform the City Librarian in writing prior to a scheduled Board meeting of its intention to appear and to provide particulars of the matters in issue as well as the names of those union representatives, who are employees of the Employer, who will be appearing before the Board. It is understood and agreed that when Local 4948 makes representations to the Board, the Union shall be allowed up to six (6) representatives. It is further understood that a maximum of three (3) union representatives who are employees of the Board shall be permitted to attend with no loss of pay or benefits for time so spent.
