Common use of Unit Appreciation Right Clause in Contracts

Unit Appreciation Right. “Unit Appreciation Right” or “UAR” means a contingent right granted under the Plan pursuant to Article VIII that entitles the holder to receive, in cash or Units, as determined by the Committee in its sole discretion, an amount equal to the excess of the Fair Market Value of a Unit on the exercise date of the Unit Appreciation Right (or another specified date) over the exercise price of the Unit Appreciation Right.
