Unit Members Exempted From Obligation to Pay Service Fee. 14 (a) Any unit member shall be exempt from the requirements of a service fee as a condition 15 of employment if such unit member is a member of a bona fide religious body whose 16 traditional tenets of teachings include objections to joining or financially supporting 17 employee organizations as defined by Section 3540.1(d) of the Government Code.
