Membership Dues Deduction. Any unit member who is a member of the Teachers 20 Association of Long Beach, CTA-NEA, or who has applied for membership, may 21 pay a lump sum cash payment to the Association or sign and deliver to the District 22 an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees and 23 general assessments in the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, the District 24 shall deduct one-tenth (1/10) of such dues from the regular salary warrant of the unit 26 authorization after the commencement of the school year shall have deducted one- 28 periods.
Membership Dues Deduction. Any bargaining unit employee may elect to authorize Union membership dues deduction. The County will deduct Union membership dues from wages beginning the first pay period of each month, following receipt of such authorization by the Auditor-Controller's Office.
Membership Dues Deduction. 1. Any teacher, who is a member of the Association or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the office of Human Resources via the Association a membership form authorizing payroll deduction of uniform membership dues and political action contributions as established by the Association. Such authorization shall continue in effect unless revoked at the teacher’s request upon thirty (30) days written notice to the Administration and the Association, or upon termination of employment or death of teacher.
2. The Board is expressly prohibited from any involvement in the collection of fines, penalties or special assessments.
3. Each fiscal year the Association will certify to the office of Human Resources, in writing, the amount of membership dues to be deducted.
4. The District Administration shall deduct such sum as authorized in twenty (20) equal standard payments from the employee’s regular salary checks beginning with the first check in September.
5. Payroll deductions shall be made no later than the second paycheck after authorization has been received by the Payroll Department.
6. The deductions shall be remitted no less frequently than semi-monthly to the Association.
7. The Association shall indemnify and hold the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits, or any other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken or not taken by the Board for the purposes of reliance of any lists, notice or assignment furnished by the Association as it applies to this section.
Membership Dues Deduction. The Board of Trustees recognizes DUE's right to membership dues deductions in accordance with Section 208, Article XIV of the Civil Service Law.
Membership Dues Deduction. The Board agrees to deduct from the wages of each employee member of the Association in accordance with the express terms of a signed voluntary authorization to do so, the membership dues of the Association. Annualized dues deductions shall be deducted in twenty-six (26) installments from wages earned by the employee commencing with the first pay period in each September during the term of this Agreement, and thereafter from each pay period through the school year. The Association agrees to indemnify and save the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of, or by reason of, any action that shall be taken by the Board for the purpose of complying with the provisions of this Article, or in reliance upon any information which shall have been furnished to the Board under these provisions. Dues will be deducted in accordance with Act 195 (Pennsylvania Public Employee Relations Act), Article III, Sub Section 18. The aforementioned authorization shall be in the following form: To: School District of the City of Erie, Pennsylvania Date I hereby irrevocably assign to the Erie Education Secretaries Support Professionals, PSEA/NEA from any wages earned or to be earned by me in your employ (in my present employment by you), such sums as the Erie Education Secretaries Support Professionals, PSEA/NEA may certify as due and owing from me as membership dues for said Erie Education Secretaries Support Professionals, PSEA/NEA. I authorize and direct you to deduct such amounts from my pay and remit same to the Erie Education Secretaries Support Professionals, PSEA/ NEA with said deductions being divided equally among my pay periods beginning with the second pay period in September and continuing through the school year. This authorization is made pursuant to the provisions of the Agreement between the Board of School Directors of the School District of the City of Erie and the Erie Education Secretaries Support Professionals, PSEA/NEA, dated October 31, 1977 All such dues as may be deducted shall be turned over promptly by the Board to the Treasurer or other designated agent of the Association, who will give a proper receipt for the same.
Membership Dues Deduction. 2.01 The Employer agrees as required by section 47 of the Ontario Labour Relations Act, 1995, as amended from time to time, to deduct from the monthly earnings of each employee covered by the Collective Agreement, an amount equal to the regular union dues (as specified in writing by Unifor, Local 87-M, Southern Ontario Newsmedia Guild and calculated in accordance with the terms below) and to remit the total of such deductions by cheque to the Treasurer of the Union before the 15th day of the month following the month in which deductions are made. The Employer shall, when remitting dues, give the names of the employees from whose pay deductions have been made.
2.02 The monthly remittance of dues to the Union shall he substantiated by a separate listing of gross earnings and dues deductions for each employee for the month. The Employer must receive written notification of any changes in the amount of regular monthly union dues. Such change shall be implemented in the month following notification.
2.03 In addition to the foregoing, the Employer agrees upon receipt of written direction from the Union, which shall be given at least two weeks in advance of such deduction, to deduct special assessments as required by the Union and to remit the deductions by cheque to the Treasurer of the Union before the 15th day of the month following the month in which the deductions are made. The Employer shall provide the names of the employees whose pay deductions have been made to the Union.
2.04 The Union shall indemnify and save harmless the Employer including its agents and employees from any and all claims or actions arising out of or in any way related to deductions made in accordance with this article.
2.05 All employees in the bargaining unit who were members of the Union on September 14, 2010 or who join thereafter shall as a condition of continued employment, be required to maintain their membership in good standing in the Union in accordance with its constitution and by- laws for the duration of the Agreement.
2.06 All persons accepting employment in the bargaining unit on or after September 14, 2010 shall become Union members upon successfully completing their probationary period, and shall, as a condition of employment, remain Union members in good standing for the period of this Agreement.
2.07 The Union agrees that it will admit to membership and retain in membership any employee in the bargaining unit who have successfully completed their probationary period,...
Membership Dues Deduction. The Board shall deduct Association membership dues from the salary of all members who have authorized such deductions by delivering to the Treasurer of the Board a written check-off authorization form. These deductions shall be in the amount authorized or such lawful dues as the Association's constitution or by-laws may be amended to provide.
Membership Dues Deduction a. Membership dues of the Association and its District, State, and National affiliates, shall be deducted in equal installments beginning with the first paycheck in October of each school year on the basis of deduction authorizations supplied by the Association to the Treasurer. Authorizations may be withdrawn during a period of 15 days each year ending September 15th, provided that notification withdrawal is submitted to the Treasurer during such 15-day period. Deduction authorization and/or information regarding the amount of deduction for each Association member will be supplied to the Treasurer by October 1st.
b. The enrollment period for such deduction shall be from September 1st to September 30th each year. Authorization shall be on a continuing basis from year to year unless a request for withdrawal is submitted in writing to the Treasurer of the Board, with a copy to the Association.
c. If a unit member's employment ends or if he/she assumes unpaid status with the Board before all the deductions have been made, the unpaid balance shall be deducted from his/her final paycheck prior to assumption of unpaid status. Following completion of each deduction, the Board's Treasurer shall remit the amount which was deducted to the Treasurer of the Association by check, payable to the "Xxxxxxxx Xxxxx Local Education Association." Each such check shall be accompanied by a list of bargaining unit members from whose pay deductions were made and the amount deducted from the pay of each such unit member.
d. The Association shall have the exclusive payroll deduction rights for union dues for members of the bargaining unit.
Membership Dues Deduction. 11.01 The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of each employee in the unit affected by the collective agreement, whether or not the employee is a member of the Union, an amount equal to the monthly amount of the Membership Dues and to remit the amount to the Union.
11.02 The Union shall inform the Employer in writing of the authorized monthly Membership Dues deduction or payment in lieu thereof to be checked off for each employee in the bargaining unit, pursuant to Article 11.
01. The amount so advised shall continue to be the amount so deducted until changed by further written notice to the Employer signed by an authorized representative of the Union. Upon receipt of such notice, such changed amount shall be the amount deducted.
11.03 Deductions shall be made monthly in the second payroll period of each month, provided the employee has received a minimum of twenty (20) hours pay in respect of that month, and Membership Dues or payments in lieu thereof shall be considered as owing in the month for which they are so deducted.
11.04 The amounts deducted in accordance with this Article shall be remitted to the Comptroller of the Union in the month following their deduction and shall be accompanied by particulars identifying each employee and the deductions made on the employee's behalf.
11.05 The Union agrees to indemnify and save the Employer harmless against any claim or liability arising out of the application of this article except for any claim or liability arising out of an error committed by the Employer limited to the amount actually involved in the error.
11.06 The Employer agrees to identify annually on each employee's T4 slip the total amount of Membership Dues deducted for the preceding year.
Membership Dues Deduction. 1. Membership dues of the Association and its District, State, and National affiliates shall be deducted in twenty (20) equal installments beginning with the first paycheck of November on the basis of deduction authorizations supplied by the Association to the Treasurer. Such deduction shall be for a period of one year except that authorizations may be withdrawn during a period of fifteen (15) days each year ending September 15, provided that notification of withdrawal is submitted to the Treasurer during such 15-day period. Those joining the bargaining unit after September 30 shall be added to payroll deduction.
2. The enrollment period for such deduction shall be from September 1 to September 30 each year. Authorization shall be on a continuing basis from year to year unless a request for withdrawal is submitted in writing to the Treasurer of the Board, with a copy to the Association.
3. The balance of the annual deductions shall be deducted from the final paycheck of a member resigning his/her position, receiving a leave of absence, or terminating his/her employment after January 1 of any year.
4. The Association shall have exclusive payroll deduction rights for union dues for members of the bargaining unit.
