Common use of United States laws Clause in Contracts

(a) In this Subclause: Anti-Terrorism Law means each of: (i) Executive Order No. 13224 on Terrorist Financing: Blocking Property and Prohibiting Transactions With Persons Who Commit, Threaten To Commit, or Support Terrorism issued on 23rd September, 2001, as amended by Order 13268 (as so amended, the Executive Order); (ii) the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001, Public Law 107-56 (commonly known as the USA Patriot Act); (iii) the Money Laundering Control Act of 1986, 18 U.S.C. Section 1956; and (iv) any similar law enacted in the United States of America subsequent to the date of this Agreement. holding company, has the meaning given to it in the United States Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935. investment company has the meaning given to it in the United States Investment Company Act of 1940.
