Common use of Unity of account Clause in Contracts

Unity of account. The account opened pursuant to this agreement is unique. If, for reasons of clarity or accounting convenience, said account is divided into sev eral accounts, sub-accounts or items, these shall always form an indivisible whole, regardless of their operating procedures used. By express agreement between the parties, this principle of account unity shall also apply when different accounts are opened under different numbers or when they record transactions in different currencies. This principle shall not prevent the application of differentiated interest rates within the unique account. As regards accounts in foreign currencies, the current account balance as a whole shall be assessed, as required, in euros. Any debit or credit transaction recorded on an account shall be converted ipso jure into the account currency, unless otherwise agreed.
