University Board’s Invitation to Academy to Apply For Conversion to Schools of Excellence. If the University Board is interested in accepting applications to issue contracts to charter Schools of Excellence under Part 6E of the Code, and the University Board determines that the Academy meets the University Board’s and the Code’s eligibility criteria for applying to convert the Academy to a School of Excellence, then the University Board may invite the Academy to submit an application to apply for a contract to convert the Academy to a school of excellence. In accordance with the Code, the University Board shall establish its own competitive application process and provide the necessary forms and procedures to eligible public school academies.
