University Housing Units. 1. The University shall provide written notice to the union when it has determined that University housing units will be available for use by residents. The union may request, within fifteen (15) days of such notice, that the parties begin bargaining pursuant to the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA) on all issues that are mandatory subjects of bargaining under HEERA related to the implementation of University housing for residents. Such matters include; but are not limited to: rental rates, location of housing units, process and criteria for the assignment of available units, and whether to continue annual payments to residents for whom rental units are not available.
