Common use of UNOTICE Clause in Contracts

UNOTICE. 1. A written notice of layoff shall be given to affected employees no later than sixty (60) days prior to the effective date of the layoff. 2. Notice may be waived when an actual and existing financial inability to pay exists or for cause not foreseeable or preventable by the Governing Board. 3. The notice shall contain: a. A copy of Education Code as related to layoff. b. A copy of this contract article. c. A copy of the Board resolution affecting the layoff.
