This meeting was convened by the National Filariasis Elimination Program (NFEP) and brought together experts from WHO, The Task Force on Global Health and Field NTD Coordinators from the Department of Health Regional Office IVB (MIMAROPA) to discuss the Case of The Province of Oriental Mindoro. The discussion included: o A pause and reflect discussion to gather more information testing issues faced by the province. This included discussion about the testing methodology used to follow up positive cases in the province, a discussion about the distinct indigenous population that makes up a majority of positive cases in the province, and planning for use of XXX. o Recommendations from the expert group included: o Re-testing the clusters of positives (mostly indigenous populations) o Cross-referencing malaria research done in these same or similar populations undertaken with WHO CO.

From this tour the team learned about Act| East Indonesia’s support activities, including TAS and Pre TAS, where mf microscopic examination is a major diagnostic tool to confirm prevalence of LF. The team also learned about the requirements and procedures necessary to conduct mf surveys in community settings. During the tour, professors from the University of Indonesia facilitated the technique for preparing and reading mf slides. A comprehensive update consultant is working on the 2022-2030 NTD strategic plan section, in collaboration with the NTD focal point at MISAU, Act | East World NTD Day celebrations has been shared via Mozambique, ARISE and WHO teams. Weekly meetings are held both virtually or in person to discuss the Communications teamprogress and quality of the document. • Act | East has gathered available LF data as HQ staff–Program Manager, Project Coordinator, XXXXX focal point–visited Mozambique in mid-June.
