From this tour the team learned about Act| East Indonesia’s support activities, including TAS and Pre TAS, where mf microscopic examination is a major diagnostic tool to confirm prevalence of LF. The team also learned about the requirements and procedures necessary to conduct mf surveys in community settings. During the tour, professors from the University of Indonesia facilitated the technique for preparing and reading mf slides. Act | East Nepal will use this learning to support the national program in Nepal to expand their microscopy use and abilities in coming years for districts where XXX is being implemented. • Act | East Nepal completed FAA packages with VBDRTC to conduct TAS 3 in Sindhuli and TAS 2 in Ilam and Panchthar. • LF MDA 2023 kicked will kick off from 23rd 23 February 2023 in 15 districts (Jhapa, Morang, Dhanusha, Mohattari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Lamjung, Parbat, Baglung, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Kailali and Rasuwa) ). At all levels, they were more active this year with public goals for high coverage and compliance. • Act| East HQ communications team visited Nepal to capture video of LF MDA activities of Baglung district for the “More Than Medicine” video series being produced at the program level.
