Usage for the IoT-A Reference Architecture Sample Clauses

The 'Usage for the IoT-A Reference Architecture' clause defines how the IoT-A Reference Architecture may be utilized within the context of the agreement. It typically outlines the permitted ways in which parties can implement, adapt, or reference the architecture in their own IoT solutions, such as for system design, integration, or documentation purposes. This clause ensures that all parties have a clear understanding of the scope and limitations of using the reference architecture, thereby promoting consistency and preventing misuse or misinterpretation.
Usage for the IoT-A Reference Architecture. ‌ The IoT-A Reference Architecture is domain- and application- independent and is therefore not compatible to the concept of views and viewpoints one-by-one. But the idea behind the concept is nevertheless helpful and will be adopted for the use within the IoT-A Reference Architecture: “A view is a representation of one or more structural aspects of an reference architecture that illustrates how this reference architecture can be adopted to address one or more concerns held by its stakeholders.” “A viewpoint is a collection of patterns, templates, and conventions for constructing one type of view. It defines the stakeholders whose concerns are reflected in the viewpoint and the guidelines, principles, and template models for constructing its views.“ The views and viewpoints will be complemented with Design choices which will be used to illustrate one or more different implementation aspects with their advantages, disadvantages and relations to the perspectives, see Section 5.3.1. The following sections will therefore address the functional view, information view and the deployment and operation view.
