Use of Animals. 19.01 The Employer shall protect animals and prevent their abuse during production, assuring responsible, decent, and humane treatment of animals. (a) If the Employer requires any Employee to work with or near animals which are being used in the motion picture, then the animals shall be reasonably secured or cordoned off when they are not being used or when the animals are being used, they shall be under the direct and constant supervision of a qualified trainer/wrangler. (b) The Employer shall not require any Employee to do anything, or omit to do anything, which constitutes cruelty to animals. The Employer will not intentionally torment or kill an animal in the production of a motion picture except that the photography of animals under the provisions of a legal hunting season will be excluded.
