Common use of Use of Grant Proceeds Clause in Contracts

Use of Grant Proceeds. The Public Entity shall use the LRIP Grant solely to reimburse itself for expenditures it has already made, or will make, to pay the costs of one of the following applicable activities: (i) preliminary, final construction and engineering and administration (ii) constructing or reconstructing city streets, county highways, or town roads with statewide or regional significance that have not been fully funded through other state, federal, or local funding sources; or (iii) capital improvement projects on county state-aid highways that are intended primarily to reduce traffic crashes, deaths, injuries, and property damage. The Public Entity shall not use the LRIP Grant for any other purpose, including but not limited to, any work to be done on a state trunk highway or within a trunk highway easement.
