Common use of Use of Sick Days for Family Illness Clause in Contracts

Use of Sick Days for Family Illness. Ten (10) of the allowed sick leave days per year may be used for illness in the employee’s immediate family. Days used for family illness shall be deducted from accumulated sick leave. Members of the immediate family shall be defined as father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, husband, wife, parent-in-law, or near relative who resides in the same household, or any person with whom the employee currently resides.
