Common use of USE OF XXXXXXX’X ALLOWANCE Clause in Contracts

USE OF XXXXXXX’X ALLOWANCE. 10.7.1 The bid schedule includes a GILBERT allowance which is not a part of the total bid price. This allowance is to be used at the sole discretion of GILBERT for the completion of unspecified work not covered by other bid items. Authorization for work under the allowance shall be made by the ENGINEER prior to the start of such work. The Allowance Authorization Form attached to these General Conditions shall be executed by the CONTRACTOR, and ENGINEER prior to start of such work.
