Common use of Using Your Card for Purchases Clause in Contracts

Using Your Card for Purchases. Subject to the limitations set forth in this Agreement, you can use your Card to purchase goods and services at participating merchants where MasterCard debit cards are accepted. The maximum amount of purchases you may make on a daily and monthly basis is described in the section below entitled “Card Limitations”. If you do not have enough funds available in your Card Account for the entire purchase, you can instruct the merchant to charge part of the purchase to your Card Account and pay the remaining amount with other funds. These are called split transactions and some merchants do not permit them. If you use your Card Number or Account Number without presenting your Card (such as for mail order, telephone or Internet purchases), the legal effect will be the same as if you used the Card itself.
