Common use of Validity of the Agreement Clause in Contracts

Validity of the Agreement. 1. The agreement may be concluded for a fixed term of no more than one year or it may be valid until further notice. 2. Fixed-term individual working hours end without a notice period. 3. An agreement that is in force until further notice and has continued for one year may be terminated with two (2) months’ notice. The individual working hours will, however, continue to be applied until the end of the averaging period that is in effect at the time when the notice period ends. 4. A fixed-term agreement or an agreement that is valid until further notice and has lasted for less than one year may be terminated by mutual understanding or with two (2) months’ notice for an especially weighty unforeseeable reason.
