Verification of Name and Social Security Number Combinations. To enhance the accuracy of records used in the matching program and fairness to the individuals to whom the records pertain, HUD verifies the name, date of birth, and Social Security number combinations contained in the input file using Social Security Administration processes prior to transmitting the input file to OCSE. Such verification increases the likelihood that NDNH information provided to HUD pertains to the appropriate individuals.
