Common use of Visiting Professor Category Clause in Contracts

Visiting Professor Category. a fixed-term paid appointment of limited duration. Visiting Professor appointments may be renewed annually for up to three years. In rare circumstances, the appointment may be renewed beyond three years for one year at a time upon approval by the Office of Faculty Affairs. Ranks are Visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, and Visiting Professor.
