Voluntary Demotions or Reduction in Time. 18.9.1 Employees who take voluntary demotions or voluntary reductions in assigned hours, weeks or months in lieu of layoff shall be granted the same rights as persons laid off and shall retain eligibility to be considered for reemployment for an additional period of twenty-four (24) months provided that the employee possesses the required qualifications.
