Wage Employee Acting in a Salaried Position. A wage employee assigned by the Employer to temporarily perform the full duties of a salaried position having a higher salary range than the employee's normal hourly wage shall be paid acting pay, provided the assignment is for a period in excess of five (5) continuous working days. In such cases, the employee shall be paid acting pay from the first (1st) day of such assignment. (It is recognized that "duties" refers to the normal duties of the position at the time of acting.)
