Common use of Waiver of Spousal Benefit Clause in Contracts

Waiver of Spousal Benefit. The Participant may waive the spousal death benefit described in this section l0.5 at any time; provided, no such waiver shall be effective unless it satisfies the conditions described in section 10.1(e) (other than the notification requirement referred to in such section) that would apply to the Participant's Qualified Election to waive the Qualified Preretirement Survivor Annuity.
