Common use of Waiver of Statute Clause in Contracts

Waiver of Statute. In the event of damage to the Premises and/or the Building, Tenant shall not be released from any of its obligations under this Lease except to the extent and upon the conditions expressly stated in this Article 23. Tenant hereby waives the provisions of California Civil Code Section 1932, Subsection 2, and Section 1933, Subsection 4, and any other statute or court decision relating to the abatement or termination of a lease upon destruction of the Premises and the provisions of this Article 23 shall govern in case of such destruction.
