WARRANTY FULFILLMENT. Prior to the expiration of the specified warranty period provided for in the Contract Documents, the Architect/Engineer will make a detailed inspection of the Work and will advise the Prime Contractor and the Prime Contractor’s Surety of the items that require correction. The Architect/Engineer will make a subsequent inspection and if the corrections have been properly performed, the Architect/Engineer will issue a letter of release on the maintenance stipulations to the Prime Contractor and the Surety. If for any reason the Prime Contractor has not made the required corrections before the expiration of the warranty period, the warranty provisions as provided for in the Contract Documents shall remain in effect until the corrections have been properly performed and a letter of release issued.
