Common use of Washed Wet Sand Sampling Directly Off the Belt Clause in Contracts

Washed Wet Sand Sampling Directly Off the Belt. Washed Wet Sand samples will be taken from the trucks used to deliver the Wet Sand to the Wet Sand Stock Pile Area. Such samples shall be taken according to ASTM D 75 (Standard Practice for Sampling Aggregates). The samples must be sampled from a minimum of two locations on the belt scale. The material shall be sampled using a sample thief or sampling tube as described in ASTM D 75. The samples shall initially be taken every two (2) hours that the Wet Plant is operational. Upon thirty (30) consecutive days of samples that meet the gradation standards set forth in Schedule 4, the Parties shall agree on any revisions to the frequency for which samples shall be taken, which shall not exceed once every eight (8) hours that the Wet Plant is operational. If the Parties at any time identify a sample that does not meet gradation standards set forth in Schedule 4, the samples shall again be taken every two (2) hours until there have been thirty (30) consecutive days of samples that meet the gradation standards set forth in Schedule 4.
