This technical solution is a Fibre to the Home (FTTH) end-to-end ethernet Layer 2 product delivered using 10 Gigabit Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) fibre. This network is deployed with a maximum Optical Distribution Network (ODN) split ratio of 1:32. At the End User premises it is terminated on an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) providing a standard ethernet termination for connection to the Service Provider CPE. In the exceptional case where FTTH is not feasible, an alternative technical solution may be provided. This solution will only be used where fibre feed costs of an FTTH solution are excessively prohibitive and the alternative technical solution has been agreed with the DCCAE. At the PoH, the Wholesale VUA traffic is handed off to the Service Provider Interconnect.
