Common use of WIDOWER'S GMP Clause in Contracts

WIDOWER'S GMP. Where the Member is a woman and dies at any time on or after 6 April 1989 leaving a Widower, he shall be entitled, subject to 5.6 below, to receive a pension from the Scheme paid at a rate equivalent to a weekly rate of not less than half of that part of the guaranteed minimum which is attributable to earnings for the tax year 1988/1989 and subsequent tax years.

WIDOWER'S GMP. Where the Member is a woman and dies at any time on or after 6 April 1989 leaving a Widower, he shall be entitled, subject to 5.6 Rule 4.6 below, to receive a pension from the Scheme Plan paid at a rate equivalent to a weekly rate of not less than half of that part of the guaranteed minimum which is attributable to earnings for the tax year 1988/1989 and subsequent tax yearsyears up to and including the tax year 1996-97.
