Common use of Withholding of Grant Funds Clause in Contracts

Withholding of Grant Funds. If, upon review of the monthly xxxxxxxx, the Authority discovers errors or omissions in the xxxxxxxx it will notify the Grantee within thirty (30) days of receipt of the billing. Payment for the portion of xxxxxxxx for which there is an error or omission may be withheld pending clarification by Grantee. Grant funds may be withheld for the following reasons: The Grantee fails to provide adequate back-up documentation. The Authority determines that a specific expense is not allowed under the grant. The Grantee‟s matching contribution requirements are not met. Up to 10% of the Authority‟s contribution of grant funds may be retained by the Authority until the Project is completed and all required final documentation and reports are received and accepted by the Authority.
