Common use of Work Space and Facilities Clause in Contracts

Work Space and Facilities. A. The University shall ensure that insofar as possible, consistent with the physical facilities available to the department, bargaining unit employees shall be provided with an appropriate place for holding office consultations with students and performing other required duties such as preparation and marking. B. Employees shall have use of such other facilities and equipment as are required for the performance of their duties, including prescribed texts, pens, paper, grade books, photocopying, software and computers. The University shall provide each employee with a personal mailbox in the department of assigned teaching and access to a telephone where necessary for the performance of assigned duties. Upon request, employees will be provided access to University computing resources appropriate for the nature of their work and consistent with other employee groups at the University. Misuse or inappropriate use of University computing resources may result in discipline. The University shall ensure that employee internet accounts remain active for three (3) semesters after the last semester worked.
