Common use of WORK UNIFORMS Clause in Contracts

WORK UNIFORMS. Subd. 1. Solid Waste and Recycling Division Permanent employees, upon their permanent assignment to the Solid Waste and Recycling Division, shall receive an initial standard issue of work uniforms consisting of five (5) shirts, five (5) pants, one (1) jacket, one (1) rain suit and work gloves/choppers. On an as needed basis thereafter, worn work uniform items, shall be replaced by the Employer without cost to employees on a demonstrated need basis. Further, employees shall receive an annual work gloves/chopper allotment each May. The employee may choose any combination of gloves or safety glasses up to $57.50 in value. Said employees may select tinted or un-tinted safety glasses normally carried by the City. Nothing within this provision shall constitute an allocation or subsidy for prescription safety glasses.
