Initial Issue. Eligible employees in the classifications listed under Section 3.F, “Uniform Allowance”, when hired or newly assigned to a position requiring them to wear a uniform, shall receive, within thirty (30) days of hire or assignment, an initial allowance toward the purchase of required uniforms in the amount as provided in Section 2.F. below.
Initial Issue. The City shall furnish the basic uniforms and new equipment for all members according to the schedule in Section 29.6. Uniform parts and equipment shall be replaced by the City on an as needed basis. All uniforms and equipment purchased by the City remain the property of the City and must be returned when a member is separated from City service for any reason. Uniform items not accounted for shall be replaced at the member’s expense. Failure to do so shall result in the value of the uniform items not accounted for being withheld from the member’s separation pay.
Initial Issue. Upon initial appointment, the City shall furnish each eligible uniformed employee, at no cost to the employee, with the uniform and equipment set forth in the Division Directives.
Initial Issue. Each employee newly appointed to the position of either Lieutenant or Sergeant shall be issued, at no cost to the employee, a complete set of all standard required uniform items. It is agreed that LACMTA shall provide, at no cost to the employee, the first issue of any change or modification to the employee’s uniform.
Initial Issue. Employees newly hired or newly assigned that are required to wear uniforms shall receive the appropriate uniform allowance within thirty (30) days of hire or assignment.
Initial Issue. The City shall furnish uniforms and equipment for all new employees required to wear uniforms according to the schedule in Section 20.5. All uniforms remain the property of the City and must be turned in when an employee is separated from City service. Failure to do so shall result in the value of the missing items being withheld from the employee's separation pay. The City shall have the right to determine the supplier of uniforms and parts.
Initial Issue. The Employer shall provide members and the Lodge with a list of all items constituting initial issue. The list shall be kept current.
