WORKERS’ COMPENSATION OFFSET Sample Clauses
The Workers’ Compensation Offset clause establishes that any benefits an employee receives from workers’ compensation insurance will be deducted from other disability or wage replacement benefits provided by the employer. In practice, if an employee is injured on the job and qualifies for both workers’ compensation and employer-sponsored disability payments, the amount paid under the employer’s plan will be reduced by the amount received from workers’ compensation. This clause prevents employees from receiving duplicate benefits for the same injury or illness, ensuring fair allocation of compensation and controlling costs for the employer.
