WORKPLACE REORGANISATION. 18.1 Where a workplace is to be reorganised following the consultative process outlined in Clause 17 - Managing Change of this Agreement, the following procedures will apply in relation to employees holding a continuing appointment: (i) where the duties of a position are not significantly changed, the incumbent shall continue to hold the position; or (ii) where the duties of a position are so significantly changed that it can be regarded as a new position, or where a position is no longer required, the employee holding the position shall become an “eligible employee” for the purposes of this clause; or (iii) where a new position is established, expressions of interest shall be called initially from amongst eligible employees within that workplace, and a merit based selection process shall be applied.
