XXX’s Commitment to Investigate Misrepresentations and Pursue Remedies. The PHA will investigate allegations, complaints or other observations that indicate a Tenant may be receiving benefits for which they are not eligible. The PHA will vigorously pursue false statements that result in the Tenant paying less rent than required or the PHA overpaying rental assistance. After verification of these misrepresentations, the PHA will take all necessary steps to recover the over payments, including administrative actions, or civil or criminal court actions, or judgment, as it deems appropriate.
