Xxxxxxx at the top step. If the employee is already at the top pay step of their original/current classification (but not at the top step of the “acting” classification), then after six months in the “acting” appointment the employee shall be scheduled for a performance evaluation and eligible for a merit step pay increase. Note: This Article is cross referenced with Article 25 (E) (Performance Evaluations) of this Memorandum of Understanding which describes the same provisions regarding the schedules for performance evaluations and pay step advancements while serving temporary upgrade/acting appointments.
