Common use of Xxxxxxxx Population Clause in Contracts

Xxxxxxxx Population. Any Texas resident who uses substances. Substances include and are defined as “controlled substance” within Texas Government Code § 481.002. This population may include, but is not limited to, adults (Texas residents over the age of 18) and youth (any Texas resident between the ages of five up to 18), populations who are marginalized (individuals excluded from society due to their race, gender identity, age, physical ability, language or identified to have substance use or mental health issue) or stigmatized (those that society has deemed disgraceful or with great disapproval), experiencing housing instability or homelessness due to their substance use abuse, inject substances, live with or at risk of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) due to substance use, in need of medical and or mental health services due to substance use, experience greater barriers to entering treatment or recovery services for substance use, or those seeking to enhance their recovery capital (strengths, resources, assets, etc. that are positive impacts within one’s life) and maintain their recovery from their substance use disorder(s).
