REIMBURSABLE SPACE ACT AGREEMENT BETWEENReimbursable Space Act Agreement • November 25th, 2020
Contract Type FiledNovember 25th, 2020This Agreement shall be for the purpose of NASA GRC and Honeywell to conduct combustion research in support of the Federal Aviation Administration's ("FAA") Continuous Lower Energy, Emissions, and Noise ("CLEEN") CLEEN-II Activities. The test will be conducted on a full annular combustion test article provided by Honeywell. The primary objective of the test is to evaluate combustor performance with interest on emissions and particulate analyses. Honeywell's CLEEN II program is maturing advanced turbine and combustor technologies to reduce weight for improved fuel burn and reduced emissions. The Honeywell advanced combustor design is a Compact Low Emissions Combustor that integrates advanced aerodynamics and fuel injection technologies to reduce engine NOx emissions and weight (contributing to reducing fuel burn). The test will take place in NASA GRC's Advanced Subsonic Combustion Rig ("ASCR").
