Contract Type FiledJuly 27th, 2000 JurisdictionThis Agreement is entered into by and between the Board of Higher Education or its successor (hereinafter the Employer) and the Massachusetts Teachers Association/Massachusetts Community College Council (hereinafter the Association) as the exclusive bargaining representative for all employees in the bargaining unit described in Article I. Both parties to this Agreement recognize the unique contributions of the community colleges to education in this Commonwealth. Further, the parties recognize the need to strengthen and secure community college education. This Agreement has as its purpose the promotion of harmonious relations between the Employer and the Association. The parties declare their commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of educational services offered by the Community Colleges. To this end, the parties recognize their statutory obligations pursuant to the provisions of General Laws, Chapter 150E, and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, to negotiate
