The following agreement, by and between the City of Bridgeport, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and Bridgeport Police Local #1159 and Council #15, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, hereinafter referred to as the "Union", is designed to maintain and promote a harmonious relationship between the City of Bridgeport and such of its employees who are within the provisions of this agreement, in order that more efficient and progressive public service may be rendered.
