A 4/9/4 work schedule is defined as a workweek consisting of four nine-hour days and one four-hour day. The following guidelines will apply to all employees agreeing to work the 4/9/4 Alternative Work Schedule: Holidays – when the holiday falls on an employee’s nine-hour work day, the employee must use one hour of annual leave or comp time. If no annual leave or comp time is available, the employee will be docked one hour. If the holiday falls on the employee’s four-hour day, the employee will revert to five eight-hour days for the entire week in which the holiday occurs. Jury Duty – when employees are summoned for Jury Duty, they must either work before/after jury duty to complete their regularly scheduled nine-hour day, or use annual leave to supplement the jury duty hours to reach the nine hours each day. If the employee has jury duty on his/her four-hour day, the employee will be compensated for the number of hours spent in jury duty that day. If the employee is scheduled to be on
