Contract Article Union Proposal Current Status/Tentative Agreement Management Proposal Article: Recognition & Membership Tentative Agreement ONA proposed recognition of all technical employees at the hospital with all recognized workers joining the union or paying a fee equal to the cost of maintaining the agreement, commonly called “fair share.” We have a tentative agreement that will allow a very limited period of opt out in the first 30 days of employment. The hospital has agreed to language that they will remain neutral in providing information about membership and are prohibited from recommending that new hires opt outof the union. The hospital proposed to allow new hires to opt out of membership or fee paying for 120 days after hire. Article: Management Rights Tentative Agreement Agree with a delineation of management rights, as long as clear language exists that the rights of the union to negotiate changes exist.
