This Agreement entered into by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, hereinafter referred to as the Employer, and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Council 93, Local 1776, AFL-CIO (CC/03 unit), hereinafter referred to as the Union, will set forth procedures for the equitable resolution of grievances, the terms of em- ployment with respect to wages and working conditions, and means by which the parties may consult periodically on mutually perceived problems and has as its purpose the promotion of harmonious relations between the Employer and the Union. All parties are committed to the creation and maintenance of a work environment where employees and supervisors treat each other with dignity, respect, and civility.
