of Florida hereinafter referred to as the "City" and the Federation of Public Employees, A Division of the National Federation of Public and Private Employees, Affiliated with District 1 - MEBA (AFL-CIO), hereinafter referred to as the "Federation". It is the purpose of this Agreement to promote harmonious relations between the City and its employees and to establish an orderly and peaceful procedure in the settlement of differences which might arise and to provide for joint collective bargaining in the determination of wages, hours and other conditions of employment of employees covered by this Agreement. It is recognized it is the responsibility of the City government to provide services affecting the health and welfare of the citizens of the City of Tamarac and this Agreement between the City and the Federation will serve that end.
