Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college level courses. The difference between Honors and AP courses is that the Honors courses help students prepare for the academic challenges of college, while the AP courses allow students to pursue college level studies while still in high school. A student may receive college credit for an AP course if the student obtains a qualifying score on the national AP exam at the end of the year. ALL AP STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO TAKE THE AP EXAM.
