This year many things have changed in the Eugene/Springfield area most notably the ground breaking win at Sacred Heart Medical Center. This was the largest hospital Union election in Oregon in decades. Although it may not make immediate sense to you as to why this is important the truth is when we stand together we win. The standards in health care and in our community rise when we collectively act together through contract negotiations, building steward structures, and helping to pass laws that impact things such as safe staffing. This year we also saw the remaining Techs join our Union as they realized the difference a Union makes in their work and their compensation. We are happy to have them with us as brothers and sisters.
