Chaudhry, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Acting Vice President for Compact Development Darius Teter, and Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat signed an agreement to provide USD 3.19 million in operating costs for the MCC in Moldova. The funding will go towards the establishment of fiscal, procurement, and administration agents for the implementation of an MCC Compact, which, if approved, will support road rehabilitation and also include an agriculture component to promote the transition to high value agriculture. The funds will also provide support for the Millennium Challenge Account Moldovan staff.
