Mulvane Fire Rescue and Cowley County Fire District No. 4 (“CCFD #4) have had mutual aid agreements for decades. Mutual aid agreements cover any requests for assistance and are only activated after the responding department calls for assistance. Auto aid agreements start assistance immediately by the dispatch center when the call is received for a quicker response time. The automatic aid agreement is written only for structure fires. This extra assistance is critical for daytime responses when volunteer manpower is lower.
